--CF Grady Sizemore, who was hitless and struck out seven times in his first 12 at-bats after coming off the disabled list, was given a day off Monday. Manager Manny Acta said Sizemore would be back in the lineup Tuesday.
--RHP Fausto Carmona, who had never lost to Toronto in his career, lost by a wide margin Monday, an 11-1 defeat that dropped his record to 3-6. In his last four starts, Carmona is 0-3 with an 8.39 ERA.
--SS Asdrubal Cabrera was 0-for-3 and hit into two double plays Monday night. Since going 8-for-9 (.889) with three home runs and seven RBI in consecutive games May 22-23, Cabrera is 4-for-23 (.174) with no homers and one RBI.
--INF Jared Goedert, who hit 27 home runs in the minor leagues last year, was activated off the 60-day disabled list and optioned to Class AAA Columbus on Monday. Goedert had been on the DL since opening day with an abdominal strain. He had played a combined 10 rehab games for Class AA Akron and Columbus, going 8-for-38 (.211) with a .326 on-base percentage, three homers and nine RBI.
--RHP Rafael Perez is 14-for-15 in save opportunities this season. In one-run save opportunities, Perez is 15-for-16 dating back to last season.
