To borrow a recent rant from Beck, I can only take so much before blood starts shooting out of my eyes! How much losing do we have to do before you guys GET REAL? Yes, I agree we have to look at contingencies like Harden and others, as landing an ace like Halladay doesn't come easy. But... NEITHER DOES WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! Gosh Darnit, let's at least go for it!

MLBtraderumours.com is reporting that the Dodgers will offer nobody arbitration. Orlando Hudson is understandable, he was going to cost too much to retain, Gold Glove etc (fair or not), but i'm unsure about letting Randy Wolf go for nothing. No compensation picks for the men in Blue. Thoughts?

Okay so I believe that we should only make a trade for Halladay if it centers around Russell Martin. Bills is still a good pitcher and has tons of upside and could become the ace. You don't trade that away...even if at best he becomes a very good #3. If you trade Russell Martin it is easier to trade for a guy like Torreabela or o

A little while ago, I brought up the idea of Dan Uggla coming to LA to play 2B. Well apparently Cincy is looking to dump salary and Brandon Phillips is going to be available. He is owed 19.85 million over the next 2 seasons , which a little less than 10 million

The Dodgers have focused on acquiring Roy Halladay from the Blue Jays, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
The Dodgers lacked an ace all year long, but their need became abundantly clear when they ha

I just posted my support for pursuit of Halladay via trade, but I also know that may not happen. In fact, knowing the Dodgers, it probably won't happen. So, if we are seriously looking to bolster the front end of the rotation, I ask, what about Rich Harden? I know, I know, he's an injury risk. But he's also as domi

Jason Schmidt will likely retire, reports Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Schmidt filed for free agency on Wednesday, but said he isn't planning to pitch next year and is likely to retire. Schmidt went 2-2 with a 5.61 ERA in four starts in 2009, but was hampered by problems with his surgically-repaired right shoulder in August.

This is from Ken Gurnick on Dodgers.com. Gurnick's a mouthpiece for McCourt and Colletti, so it's likely to be quite accurate unfortunately. The long and short of it is, don't expect Hudson, Uggla, or Phillips at 2B next season, expect Craig Counsell or Juan Uribe. And don't expect the likes of Halladay or Lackey to

According to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, Orlando Hudson says he hasn't had any contact with the Dodgers since the season ended.
Hudson said he "wouldn't close the door" on a possible return, but that seems highly unlikely after the team soured on him down the stretch. The newly-minted Gold Glove second base

Watching Lee dismantle the mighty Yankee offense just like he did the Dodgers it's hard not to wonder "what if" it was the Dodgers that picked him up at the trade deadline. Would it be the Dodgers up 1-0 in the World Series? I say with absolute certainty YES IT WOULD HAVE!! That acquisition meant so much more than just adding a dom

Do you think he'll take the mound again for the Dodgers? 1) Sure thing 2) Mebbe 3) Unlikely 4) I'd be surprised 5) No farging way I'm saying I'd be surprised. He can't, or won't, throw inside; mebbe I'm wrong, but if I'm correct he's carrying a bad package.
