--OF Nyjer Morgan was activated from the 15-day DL on Tuesday after recovering from a lingering thigh bruise. To create a roster space, the Brewers placed LHP Zach Braddock on the 15-day DL with sleep disorder. Braddock has undergone tests for that issue and is expected to leave the club to further address it.
--LF Ryan Braun was name the NL Player of the Month for April after batting .367 with 10 home runs, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored, a .724 slugging percentage and .457 on-base percentage. Braun had some stiff competition for the award in his own clubhouse with Prince Fielder, who set a club record with 26 RBI in April.
--Hall of Fame radio broadcaster Bob Uecker was presented a plaque Tuesday night commemorating his induction into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame. Uecker cannot attend the ceremony on May 16 in Salisbury, N.C., so NSSA representatives came to Atlanta to make the presentation.
--RHP Zack Greinke's 2011 debut for the Brewers will take place in the second game of a makeup doubleheader Wednesday night in Atlanta after a rainout Tuesday. Greinke must be activated from the 15-day DL first. He has recovered from a cracked rib, suffered in spring training while playing basketball.
--CF Carlos Gomez, 2-for-14 in the first three games of the Brewers' trip to Houston, Atlanta and St. Louis, was not in the starting lineup Tuesday night before the game against the Braves was rained out. Manager Ron Roenicke decided to give Gomez a night off and had replaced him with OF Nyjer Morgan, just off the 15-day DL (thigh bruise).
