--LF Jason Bay (stiff left calf) left the May 24 game but was back in the lineup May 25. He is day-to-day.

--3B David Wright (stress fracture in lower back) was injured April 19 but tried to play through the pain until the fracture was diagnosed in mid-May 16. He went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 16. He underwent numerous tests May 18-19 and was shut down from all physical activity. He met with spine specialist Robert Watkins in Los Angeles on May 23 and will continue to rest. Wright received permission on May 26 to begin workouts, with a report saying that the stress fracture in his lower back is healing well. He was cleared to begin core exercises, but still will do no baseball activities.

--1B Ike Davis (sprained left ankle and bone bruise) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 11. It doesn't appear he'll be ready when he's eligible to be activated. Davis was unable to work out on the field for the second straight day in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on May 26.

--CF Angel Pagan (pulled left side muscle) went on the 15-day disabled list April 22. He began a rehab assignment with Class A St. Lucie on May 4, and he suffered a setback May 5. He resumed baseball activities May 14 and resumed playing for St. Lucie on May 18. He will move his rehab to Class AAA Buffalo on May 26, then join the Mets on May 27. Pagan joined Class AAA Buffalo on May 26, but the game was rained out in what was supposed to be the final step in his rehabilitation process as he recovers from a strained oblique muscle. Pagan was expected to rejoin the Mets the next day.

--RHP Bobby Parnell (numb right middle finger) went on the 15-day disabled list April 20. He began a rehab assignment with Class A St. Lucie on May 9, and he moved his rehab to Class AAA Buffalo on May 11. He might be able to return in late May.

--RHP Chris Young (torn capsule in right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list May 8, and the next day he was diagnosed with the tear. He underwent surgery May 16 and is out for the season.

--LHP Johan Santana (left shoulder surgery in September 2010) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 22, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on May 8. He had begun throwing in spring training, and he threw from the top of a mound for the first time May 23. He likely will miss at least the first half of the season.
