GM Mark Shapiro, after announcing Wedge and his coaching staff would keep their jobs through the season, said that he'll be looking for pitching from any trade he makes.

"Clearly, we are looking for pitching. . . . young pitching," he said. "Starting pitching, relief pitching, any way we can get it. We're looking for guys we can ...(more)

Ah man what can you say about our bullpen. Aceves did ok today, it's kinda hard to change your style on the go. He has been relieving all year and he was asked by the team to start. His command was a little off and he seemed out of ryhthm but, I will take it he gave us 3 1/3 innings then our great bullpen took over. Robertson came in and struggled, he walked three and struck out two in his inning. ...(more)

This is some food for thought for all off the Yankee GM's on this page. I got this from ESPN.
I say we take a shot and go after this kid if we can, He is young and still developing his pitches.

Aroldis Chapman, a Cuban considered by many scouts to be the best left-handed pitching prospect in the world, has defected from the national team, several sources have confirmed to ESPN ...(more)

I am not sure what i think of getting Hinske.  The primary cause of doubt for me is the simple fact that we have plenty of bats on the roster as is.  Now, with Texeira and A-Rod coming around, additional bats are even less needed than they were before.  Sure, losing Nady for the year hurts, but we have had enough depth to fill in to this point anyway.  It really seems that we s ...(more)

I am so sick of ransom on this team. He can not field. When he makes an error the other teams scores because of that error.

The error in todays game made me realize how much better pena is then ransom. Maybe the yankee manegment sees someting in ransom that I don't see?

Why is Jose Aceves starting in the rotation?
He is one of the most important parts of out bullpen right now. Bullpens are used everyday, unles su have roy halladaoy on your team, and aceves pitches about 3 or 4 times a week. Phenominally, i might add.
So, why isnt someone called up? Tkae the rost spot of Cody Ransom

So, the Jays are going to "listen" to offers for Doc.  Just out of fun, if you could play Cashman for a day and try to make the trade, whom would you dangle.  For me, the untouchables are Montero, A-Jax, and Hughes.  I would consider Joba as part of the package and even Banuelos and DJ Mitchell.  So, if you had the chance to have a starting 3 of CC, Doc, and AJ, what would you ...(more)

Let me preface this by saying I am NOT a big fan of A-Rod.

And before getting into my rant.... right now he needs better protection in the lineup than what Cano is offering. In fact, a hot Matsui or another walk machine, Swisher, should protect and hit behind A-Rod. Cano is better batting 8th and making Melky a better number 7 hitter. Gardner starts the cycle again by batting 9th.

Jeter may not deserve to start the All-Star game, but deserves to be in it.

Texiera vs. Youkilis (vs. Morneau) is at least worth arguing - there are pretty good reasons for any of that trio to start, and at least they're all in it.

But how have I not seen Robinson Cano being defended everywhere by Yankee
