MEDICAL WATCH:

--3B Kevin Kouzmanoff (back spasms) left the Sept. 5 game.

--LHP Dallas Braden (heat-related cramps) left the Sept. 2 game. He expects to make his Sept. 7 start.

--OF Conor Jackson (abdominal strain) went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 20. He had surgery Sept. 1 to repair a sports hernia, and there is a chance he could play again this season.

--INF Adam Rosales (stress fracture in right ankle) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Aug. 12.

--RHP Joey Devine (Tommy John surgery in April 2009) went on the 15-day disabled list April 4, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 30. He was slowed in his return by a bout of tendinitis that shut him down for more than a week in March. He was pitching in extended spring training in mid-June before being shut down June 23. He threw a simulated game Sept. 4 and another on Sept. 5, and he hopes to return to action this season.

--LHP Josh Outman (Tommy John surgery in June 2009) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 26, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 8. He threw off flat ground Sept. 4. He will not go on a rehab assignment but will likely get work in instructional league.

--DH Eric Chavez (bulging neck disks) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 21 and was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 7. He said Sept. 3 that he would not play again this season.

--OF Ryan Sweeney (sore right and left knees) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 12. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 30, the same day he had season-ending surgery on his right knee.

--RHP Ben Sheets (torn flexor tendon in right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 20, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 31. Sheets underwent surgery Aug. 9, and it was more extensive than expected -- his flexor tendon, pronator tendon and ulnar collateral ligament were repaired. He is out for the rest of the season, and it's unclear whether he'll pitch again.

--RHP Justin Duchscherer (sore left hip) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 30. He was activated May 15 but couldn't make his scheduled start that day, so he went back on the 15-day DL on May 16. He was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on June 3. He had season-ending surgery June 7.

--RHP John Meloan (Tommy John surgery in March 2010) went on the 60-day disabled list March 29. He is out for the season.
