Hey guys is it true that the Phillies are scouting Pedro Martinez? I think this could be good news because it will add another starting pitcher to our already strong rotation.P.S. I don't know too much about baseball but I saw this note about Martinez from the Phillies-Reds Highlight Page.

I think the Phillies should definitley look into signing BJ Ryan. If we can get him cheap enough, he would be well worth it. Guy throws gas and has an attitude, everything you want in a philadelphia relief pitcher. Plus the fact that he wouldnt be in too many high high pressure situations might help him get his

It has been reported that the Phils have signed Pedro, and when Ruben Amaro is asked about it he has been saying no comment. Reports are saying its 4mil for the rest of the year. I dont think its a bad move. He looked good in the WBC, and its worth a shot. He could really solidify the rotation if he can be close to the old Pedro. Hes better then
