I have heard from more than one media source the Padres are entertaining offers once again from the Red Sox for Adrian Gonzalez, and not just from Hacksaw on 1090.

It's official: Jed Hoyer is the Padres' new GM.  One of the league's younger front office leaders at age 35, Hoyer played a critical role in building the Red Sox championship team of 2007.  It was he, and not Theo Epstein, who engineered the trade that brought ...(more)

I am happy to be living in beautiful San Diego right now and this year have taken a greater interest in the Padres.  Growing up as a Yankee fan, I still like to follow teams that have to do what they do with limited resources, and whose fans don't freak out if the team doesn't win the World Series every year, but who are happy with a co ...(more)

Kevin Towers has built the '96 division winner, '98 pennant team and the back to back division winners in 2005 and 2006. He did all this on a very restricted bydget. I dont understand how you fire the best budget gm in baseball. No one knows this franchise better then KT. Look what he was able to do this year and get the pieces we needed. I would of liked to see KT stay and help build this team ba ...(more)
