MEDICAL WATCH:

--CF Cameron Maybin (sore right knee) didn't play May 28-29. He is day-to-day.

--2B Orlando Hudson (strained left groin) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 26.

--C Nick Hundley (strained right oblique muscle) went on the 15-day disabled list May 6. He caught a bullpen session May 14. He hopes to begin a rehab assignment in late May, and he's targeting a June 2 return to the Padres.

--INF Jarrett Hoffpauir (right quadriceps strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 22, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on May 5.

--LHP Joe Thatcher (left shoulder strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 22. He had surgery May 2, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on May 4. He might be able to return in August.

--OF Mike Baxter (left thumb surgery in March 2011) went on the 60-day disabled list March 28.
