MEDICAL WATCH:

--C Buster Posey (broken left leg, strained ligaments in left ankle) went on the 15-day disabled list May 26 and underwent surgery May 29. He will miss the remainder of the season.

--3B Pablo Sandoval (fractured hamate bone in right wrist) went on the 15-day disabled list April 30. He had surgery May 3. He threw on May 19 for the first time since the surgery. He could rejoin the Giants by the end of the next homestand, which ends June 12.

--INF Mike Fontenot (left groin strain) went on the 15-day disabled list May 26.

--OF Darren Ford (sprained left ankle) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 23.

--INF/OF Mark DeRosa (strained left wrist) went on the 15-day disabled list May 19. It's the same wrist he has had surgically repaired.

--LHP Barry Zito (strained right foot) went on the 15-day disabled list April 17. He did some flat-ground throwing May 7-8, and he threw a bullpen session May 11. He threw to hitters May 24. He next will throw in an extended spring training game.
