--The Rangers may have an issue in the bullpen Wednesday. They've stretched long relievers David Bush (three innings on Monday) and Brett Tomko (four innings on Tuesday) as far as they can go and may not be able to use RHP Darren O'Day on a second consecutive day after he threw 14 pitches Tuesday. O'Day has been battling some hip soreness. Rangers management met before the game about bullpen issues, but elected not to make any roster moves.

--1B/OF Mitch Moreland did not start Tuesday after consecutive hitless games. Moreland did not reach base Monday, ending his streak of 15 straight starts reaching base via a hit or a walk. He entered Tuesday's game as an outfield replacement once the outcome had been decided.

--OF Julio Borbon seems to have responded to being given some down time to get himself together. Borbon had two hits Tuesday, and he has five hits in the past two games after being benched for three straight and four of the previous five.

--DH Michael Young had his hitting streak ended at 15 games with an 0-for-4 night. It was the sixth-longest streak of his career. Young was on deck in the ninth inning when SS Elvis Andrus bounced into a double play to end the game.

--1B Chris Davis doubled in his first at-bat Tuesday. It was his first hit in the majors this season and ended an 0-for-17 skid at the major league level that dated back to last year. Davis also had a ninth-inning double for his first major league game with multiple extra-base hits since April 14, 2010.

BY THE NUMBERS
11 -- Home runs in Rangers Ballpark for rising Ranger-killer Adam Lind, who had two homers Tuesday. The Toronto first baseman has five career multi-homer games; three of them have been against the Rangers in Arlington.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Josh is coming along fine. He has become more visible and louder. Guys are asking, 'When is he going to play?' When Josh is doing that, he's feeling good." -- Manager Ron Washington on OF Josh Hamilton, who has been out two weeks with a fracture in his right arm. Hamilton took some fly balls in the outfield Tuesday, but he still isn't ready to swing a bat.
