NEW YORK -- The Astros are making a change to their starting rotation.
The only surprise is it took them 25 games to do it.
Porter said the Astros haven't decided who will start in Peacock's place on Thursday against the Tigers. Jordan Lyles is believed to be one possibility, and he would be on normal rest if the Astros decide to call him up from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Through 25 games, Astros starters have the highest ERA in the big leagues (6.34) and have pitched the fewest innings per start (4.6). Three times in a five-day span, Porter had to remove his starter before the end of the first inning.
"Either these guys are going to get it done, or we'll find five others who can," Porter said.
For now, they're making one change. There will certainly be more to come.
