Dodgers, Tigers, Red Sox among teams showing interest in K-Rod

By Danny Knobler | Baseball Insider

Francisco Rodriguez once helped the Angels to a championship.

Could he do the same for the Dodgers?

K-Rod is emerging as perhaps the most interesting reliever on the July trade market, and the Dodgers remain the team that has scouted the Brewers the heaviest in recent days and weeks. The Tigers, Red Sox and other teams have been following the Brewers, who can also offer left-hander Mike Gonzalez and ex-closer John Axford.

No team has yet pushed hard to complete a deal for any of the Brewer relievers, sources say, and there's some belief that none will be traded until much closer to the July 31 non-waiver deadline.

The 31-year-old Rodriguez, who didn't re-sign with the Brewers until three weeks into the season, has a 1.09 ERA in 25 appearances, with 10 saves in as many chances.

The Brewers would also like to move third baseman Aramis Ramirez, but it's not yet clear how soon he'll be ready to come off the disabled list.
