Elliott Sadler expected to leave RCR

By Pete Pistone | NASCAR Blogger

Elliott Sadler will apparently have a new address next season and is not expected to return to the Richard Childress Racing organization.

Appearing on SIRIUS/XM NASCAR Radio Sunday, team owner Childress said he does not have a deal for Sadler in 2013 or beyond.

"I think he's gone somewhere else...we're disappointed, you know, he's had his best season," said Childress. "We don't know what more we could have done."

There is speculation Sadler could land at Joe Gibbs Racing's Nationwide Series program in 2013, which may also be in for an overhaul depending on whether Joey Logano stays with the team's Sprint Cup effort, moves to a Nationwide ride or leaves the team completely.

Sadler currently leads the Nationwide Series standings by 19 points over Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
