GOOD SAM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE 500 FINAL PRACTICE

TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. led the way in Friday's final Sprint Cup Series practice session at Talladega Superspeedway.

Earnhardt Jr. was the fastest in the session that saw several drivers sit out or make minimal laps in preparation for Sunday's fourth Chase race, the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500.

Kurt Busch was second-quickest, with Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth and Marcos Ambrose rounding out the first five.

Travis Kvapil, Clint Bowyer, Jeff Gordon, Martin Truex Jr. and Juan Pablo Montoya rounded out the top 10.

Cup teams will qualify Saturday morning to determine the field for Sunday's race.
