It appears Scott Pioli won't be getting back into the league this season.

Pioli, fired after four years as Chiefs general manager, begins work Thursday as an analyst on SiriusXM NFL Radio, according to FOXSports.com. He'll broadcast from the combine in Indianapolis.

Pioli, 47, also will provide draft analysis for NFL Network.

He spent eight years in New England's personnel department, helping the Patriots win three Super Bowls, before serving as Chiefs GM the last four seasons.

Kansas City went 23-41 in his tenure, making the playoffs in 2010. Owner Clark Hunt fired coach Romeo Crennel and, later, Pioli after the team finished 2-14 last season.
