2007 -- Race stopped after 282.5 miles by rain, restarted after delay of three hours, stopped again after 415 miles by rain.
2004 -- Race delayed two hours by rain, stopped after 27 laps, restarted after delay of 1 hour, 47 minutes; stopped after 450 miles by rain.
1976 -- Race stopped after 255 miles by rain.
1975 -- Race stopped after 435 miles by rain.
1973 -- Race stopped after one lap by accident, postponed by rain before it could be restarted; rained out next day; restarted on third day, stopped after 332 1/2 miles by rain.
1950 -- Race stopped after 345 miles by rain.
1926 -- Race interrupted on 71st lap and stopped after 400 miles by rain.
Delays and postponements
2001 -- Race interrupted by rain after 155th lap; restarted after delay of 16 minutes, 34 seconds.
2000 -- Race delayed three hours by rain.
1997 -- Race rained out one day; interrupted by rain after 15 laps next day; finished on third day.
1986 -- Race rained out two days; postponed to next weekend.
1967 -- Race interrupted by rain after 18 laps, finished the next day.
1940 -- Final 50 laps run under caution because of rain.
1915 -- Race postponed two days because of rain.
