INDIANAPOLIS -- Indy Racing League chassis-builder Dallara is cutting the costs of spare parts it will charge teams during the 2009 IndyCar season.
Dallara's Indy project leader Andrea Toso says the price reduction is designed to help the teams and the series during tough economic times and urges other suppliers to follow suit.
Specific prices for such items as wishbones, wings and radiators will be announced next month. Toso says the cuts will average about 11 percent.
The Italian manufacturer is the only chassis supplier for the IndyCar Series.
