VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A funeral Mass for a 13-year-old motorcycle racer killed last weekend in Indianapolis is scheduled for Friday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver.
The Rev. Gary Lazzeroni says there also is a vigil and memorial for Peter Lenz planned for Thursday night at the church.
The Vancouver boy died Sunday after he fell off his motorcycle during a warm-up lap and was run over by a 12-year-old rider from Flushing, N.Y. Lenz is the youngest driver or rider to be killed at the 101-year-old Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Autopsy results released Monday confirmed Lenz died of multiple blunt force trauma.
The U.S. Grand Prix Racers Union has promised a review of its motorcycle racing safety rules.
