Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins leaves Game 1 versus the Los Angeles Lakers with a right hip strain. The injury occurred during a third quarter dunk and he immediately left for the locker room.

Perkins previously strained his right hip during Game 4 of OKC's first round series against the Dallas Mavericks.

Perkins returned to the Thunder bench later during the third quarter but did not re-enter the game, as OKC was leading by 30+ points.

"He re-aggravated his hip," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said after the game. "He was ready to play but we didn't need him at that time. He'll get some treatment and we'll see how he feels tomorrow."

Perkins finished with 4 points, 1 rebound and 2 blocks on 2-for-2 shooting in 17 minutes.

The Thunder went on to win Game 1, 119-90. Game 2 is set for Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
