Brandon Roy tweet through proxy that he's pursuing a comeback
There have been rumors, from essentially the moment Brandon Roy hung up his sneakers (does anyone say sneakers anymore?), that Brandon Roy would attempt a comeback after his retirement earlier this year due to repetitive knee injuries. It was hinted at several times, including last February, that Roy was not done trying to play in the NBA.
On Friday night, Roy was tweeting via his friend Will Conroy, and confirmed his comeback.
Me and broy are together right now... We will hoop and then he will answer all of your questions... yfrog.com/keb92aij

There has been talk of Roy getting the same procedure Kobe Bryant had done in Germany. There's talk of him joining a championship contender in limited minutes. (Due to the amnesty clause being used on him, he is uneligible to rejoin the Blazers until 2015.) There's a lot of talk, but now we've got Roy on record... OK, maybe not. There's no way to confirm it was actually him tweeting. This is the problem with Twitter. But there's been no reason to doubt it.
Brandon Roy's going to try and give it another go. Here's hoping he can pull off the seemingly impossible.
