Los Angeles Clippers officially sign Jamal Crawford
It's his third home in three seasons, but maybe this one will last.
The Los Angeles Clippers officially signed unrestricted free agent guard Jamal Crawford on Wednesday. The deal is reportedly a 4-year contract worth up to $25 million.
Crawford became an unrestricted free agent after deciding not to pick up his player option with the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2012-13 season. He signed with the Blazers in December 2011 after spending his previous two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, where he was named the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in 2010.
Known for uncanny ability to make 4-point plays, his desire to take the shots with the game on the line and his crossover dribble, Crawford, 32, averaged 14.0 points and 3.2 assists while shooting 38.4 percent for the Blazers last season.
