Chicago Bulls sign Nate Robinson

Just another ride on the NBA journeyman's merry-go-round.

The Chicago Bulls will sign unrestricted free agent guard Nate Robinson to a veteran minimum's contract on Tuesday, the team announced Tuesday.

Robinson, 28, will join his fourth team in the last three seasons after spending his first 4-plus years with the New York Knicks. An explosive, albeit very undersized, scoring guard, Robinson played for the Golden State Warriors in 2011-12 after spending the two previous years with the Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Robinson averaged 11.2 points and 4.5 assists in 23.4 minutes off of Golden State's bench last season.

Best known for his diminutive stature (he is listed at 5-foot-9), his 3-time Slam Dunk winning vertical leap and his prolific use of social networking service Twitter, Robinson will join a Bulls backcourt that includes All-Star guard Derrick Rose, Richard Hamilton, Kirk Hinrich, Marco Belinelli and rookie Marquis Teague. Rose is expected to miss much of the 2012-13 season after tearing the ACL in his left knee during the first round of the 2012 Eastern Conference playoffs.
