Jeremy Lin skyped with a five-year-old heartbroken Knicks fan
There are a lot of reasons people root for Jeremy Lin. No need to list them all, but here's another:
After a five-year-old fan named Naim cried his eyes out about Lin leaving the Knicks to go play for the Houston Rockets (and his parents documented it on YouTube for all to see), Lin found out about it and did something very cool.
He set up a Skype call with Naim to tell him it was going to be all right, even encouraging him to keep rooting for the Knicks.
The video is a robust nine minutes, and while that's basically unwatchable in YouTube standards, that also means Lin skyped with the kid for nine minutes. Which is pretty awesome.
The Knicks might've lost him and a little of that shine of Linsanity might be dimmed, but Jeremy Lin is still someone you should be rooting for, too. Hard not to.
