Donte Greene fractured his ankle, putting Nets signing on hold

Donte Greene had found himself a nice landing spot. And then he broke his ankle.

Via Yahoo Sports, Greene's agent says he fractured his ankle in a workout in Charlotte last Saturday. He will have surgery on the ankle and pending the timetable for recovery, could still potentially sign with the Nets.

Greene, 24, was reportedly set to sign with Brooklyn after spending the last four seasons in Sacramento.
