Josh Harrellson is taking his jorts to South Beach.
With the Knicks, he was a quietly productive forward averaging 4.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 37 appearances. Filling in for Amar'e Stoudemire, Harrellson showed a well-rounded set of NBA skills before breaking his right wrist in January, an injury that sidelined him for five weeks.
The Heat's roster stands at 18. Harrellson, 23, is likely on a non-guaranteed deal and would need to win a spot in training camp. The Heat recently signed Garrett Temple and, with Mike Miller coming back, it could be difficult for Harrellson to make the team.
