Tyson Chandler day to day with left knee bone bruise

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Deep breath, Knicks fans. Tyson Chandler is OK.

After bumping knees Wednesday against the Nets in New York's final preseason game, Chandler left the game and then left the arena on crutches. After an MRI on Thursday, it was revealed the injury was simply a left knee bone bruise and he's day-to-day, according to the team.

Knee injuries, especially for older, taller players, can be scary. The Knicks are already without Amar'e Stoudemire for the next two to three weeks because of a cyst on his left knee.

The Knicks open their season Nov. 1 in Brooklyn against the Nets.
