Video: Raptors' Kyle Lowry turns his ankle against the Thunder

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

Kyle Lowry hopped on a putback by teammate Jonas Valanciunas in the second quarter of the Raptors-Thunder game. Unfortunately for Toronto, he landed on Serge Ibaka's foot and turned his ankle.

Lowry was helped up and went directly to the locker room. Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman tweeted, "Kyle Lowry has a right ankle sprain and will not return."

The odd part about the play was the ball was already through the hoop when Lowry did his hop. It did nothing to help or hurt the play. He only ended up hurting himself. You hate to see anybody get hurt, but especially when the action had zero impact on the game.
