Rajon Rondo out Thursday night vs. Nets

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

After spraining his ankle Wednesday night against the Jazz, Rajon Rondo will not play vs. the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.

The Celtics, already without Avery Bradley, who has yet to return this season, will use Jeff Green, believe it or not, at the point-forward position, according to Doc Rivers. That should be an adventure.

Rondo has been the offensive rock for the Celtics, and how they fare without him will go a long way in determining if they can score enough to keep up with the Nets' offensive firepower. The good news is the Nets can't stop anyone, so if you're going to miss Rondo for a game, this might be the one to miss.

Gerald Wallace will miss the game for the Nets.
