Grizzlies' Mike Conley out Monday against Cavaliers

By Royce Young | NBA writer

A pretty intriguing point guard matchup in Cleveland just got a little less intriguing.

Memphis' Mike Conley has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Cavaliers because of flu-like symptoms. In his place Jerryd Bayless will start.

This could've been a time for rookie Tony Wroten to see time, but he's not currently with the team as he's in Reno with the Grizzlies' D-League affiliate. The other backup option would be Josh Selby.

Whoever sees the bulk of the time will obviously have their hands full with Kyrie Irving, but the Grizzlies aren't exactly a guard-oriented team. Most likely Rudy Gay will initiate a lot of the offense. Just as long as it's not Tony Allen, things should be all right.
