CBSSports.com Basketball Podcast: Spurs? I'm more of a chaps guy
Matt Moore and I get together to talk about our fear of movie theaters and why it's more enjoyable to be in an empty theater without any noise or distraction. Then eventually we get into talking about the NBA and some basketball.
The Knicks' impressive victory over the Heat Thursday night was a product of shooting more 3-pointers in a game than all but eight other teams in NBA history. Can they sustain their current rate of success by sticking with this model? Is it good to jack up a 3-pointer instead of potentially turning the ball over? Does this make the Knicks title contenders?
We also discuss Eric Gordon's latest lack of a timetable for return. The news out of New Orleans continues to be confusing regarding Gordon's injury status. His knees are bad, but should we be encouraged by his quads? This leads us into a discussion of mascots for about eight minutes and you're not going to get those eight minutes of your lives back. Unless you skip ahead. It's your call.
We finish the podcast by previewing Friday night's games, pretending I'm a tall Spanish man, and trying to make sense of Manu Ginobili this season.
Don't forget we're starting a mailbag segment to our show on Monday. You can email us at zach.harper@cbsinteractive.com and we'll read and answer your emails on the show. Thanks for listening.
