Carmelo Anthony (hand) out Saturday against Chicago

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Carmelo Anthony will miss his second game because of stitches in his left hand as the Knicks visit the Bulls on Saturday.

Anthony injured the hand last week while diving for a loose ball against the Bobcats. He suffered a deep cut that forced him to get five stitches. He was expected to play against the Heat on Thursday but was a late scratch. The same went for Saturday's game against Chicago.

The biggest issue, Anthony told reporters, is catching the ball.

Without Carmelo against the Heat, the Knicks piled up 18 3-pointers in a 112-92 rout of the defending champs.

Anthony is expected, again, to be available Sunday against the Nuggets.
