Chris Paul (bruised knee) misses game, listed as day-to-day

Update: It's official, Paul's out with a bruised knee and day-to-day via a Clippers press release.

One of the league's best matchups is the Clippers and Grizzlies, but Monday's matchup in Memphis will be missing one of the game's best players.

Chris Paul is expected to be out with a bruised right kneecap, according to the L.A. Times.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' game against Orlando on Saturday when Paul banged knees with J.J. Redick.

Paul missed the Clippers' shootaround on Monday and said it would be unlikely he'd play.

"I don't know yet. If a miracle comes through. I hope so," he told reporters. "I want to play, no question. But if I feel like I'll hinder the team, then I won't."

The report also notes there's a good chance Paul might also sit the Clippers' Tuesday night game against the Rockets as well.

Eric Bledsoe is expected to start in place of Paul.
