Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul named All-Star Saturday night captains

Your captains for the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night in Houston during the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend have been announced. Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers will captain the Western Conference participants and Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat will captain the Eastern Conference participants.

Wade and the Eastern Conference players will be playing for Make-A-Wish America and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association. Chris Paul and the Western Conference players will play for Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the No Kid Hungry campaign. State Farm is sponsoring the night and making a joint donation of $500,000. The charities of the winning conference will get $350,000 and $150,000 will go to the charities of the losing conference.

They will compete in the Sears Shooting Stars competition, the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the Foot Locker 3-point Contest, and the Sprite Slam Dunk competition. Participants for the events have yet to be announced.
