Lil Wayne tweets he was ejected by Heat for rooting for Lakers

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Rapper Lil Wayne says the Heat ejected him from his courtside seat during Sunday's game for rooting for the Lakers.

He tweeted:

Via the Associated Press, through a spokesman, the Heat had a different story: "He chose to leave on his own."

Meanwhile, a fan who was apparently at the game and near the incident tweeted that Lil Wayne was approached by Heat security after making a gesture.

"Random guy yelled at Lil Wayne at #MiamiHEAT game. Weezy looked back, gave him a mean stare & gestured he had a gun ... Weezy just got into argument with security at the #MiamiHEAT game. He got kicked out for gun gesture ... LOL @LilTunechi saying he got kicked out #MiamiHEAT game for being a #lakers fan. Its cuz he made a gun gesture at someone."

It suffices to say, we don't know exactly what happened at this point, except that "Weezy" didn't get a chance to see his Lakers fall to the Heat, 107-97.

This isn't the first NBA fan drama Lil Wayne has been involved in. He tweeted last postseason that he wanted to attend Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals in Oklahoma City but was denied by the Thunder. The real story was the Thunder didn't have a seat available for Lil Wayne, unless he wanted to pay for it.
