VIDEO: Ryan Hollins tries to kick Jeremy Lin

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Throughout a game, questionable-looking plays can often be perceived as dirty, but you give the guy the benefit of the doubt because of the situation, as well as who he is and what his reputation is.

And then there's pretty much the opposite, which is Ryan Hollins.

In Wednesday's game between the Clippers and Rockets, Hollins took a pretty obvious shot at Jeremy Lin.

After Lin tumbled to the floor, Hollins swung his leg out, obviously trying to kick him. (And then naturally pulled the "Oh crap I shouldn't have done that what was I thinking I'll go check on him right away and see if he's OK" move.)

On a previous play, Lin took a spill under the basket and Hollins stepped on the back of his calf. That one might've been unintentional, but again, hard to know with some guys.

Hollins was assessed a flagrant one for the kick and very well could be receiving further punishment from the league for it.
