Each night, Eye on Basketball brings you what you need to know about the games of the NBA. From great performances to terrible clock management, the report card evaluates and eviscerates the good, the bad and the ugly from the night that was.
|Denver Nuggets||The Nuggets scored 78 points in the paint against the Lakers. That's a lot of points in the paint. An extremely impressive offensive performance against a Laker team that looked worn down and tired after a tough game against Dallas Sunday.|
|Boston Celtics||I'm not saying it was their best win of the season, but it might've been their best win of the season. What a gritty, tough, gutsy performance. Primarily led by Paul Pierce, who hit vintage Paul Pierce shots to close things down in overtime, the Celtics topped a solid Jazz team that has been extremely good on its home floor. Huge win for Boston.|
|Al Horford||A monster game for Horford -- 23 points and 22 rebounds -- as he led the Hawks to a win over the Pistons.|
|Kobe Bryant||The Lakers were garbage defensively, but Bryant was tremendous on the offensive side of things. He finished with 29 points on 12-of-23 shooting, nine assists and six rebounds. The loss for the Lakers, though, kept them from .500.|
|The Raptors-Wizards game in general||Pretty close game, and things picked up in the second half, but boy, those first 24 minutes were eye-gouge level stuff.|
|Rudy Gay||He stunk against the Wizards. Just seven points on 1-of-11 shooting with five turnovers. Small fistpump from the Grizzlies Monday night.|
