Dwyane Wade, Shane Battier out for Heat Monday; Williams out for Nets

By Royce Young | NBA writer
Dwyane Wade and Shane Battier will sit for the Heat in Monday's game against the Nets. On the other side, Deron Williams is out for New Jersey with a strained calf.

Wade is nursing an ankle injury while Battier has back and neck issues to rest. LeBron James, who rolled his ankle Sunday against the Knicks, will play.

Gerald Green will get his first start in place of Williams, while Gerald Wallace will also sit for the Nets.

It's that time of year where if you're out of the playoff picture your players rest and if you're not improving your playoff position, your players rest.
