Video: Knicks G Baron Davis dislocates patella in right knee vs. Heat in Game 4

By Ben Golliver | Blogger

New York Knicks guard Baron Davis suffered a right knee injury during the third quarter of Game 4 of an Eastern Conference first round playoff series against the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

The injury occured as Davis attempted to push the ball in transition with the Heat leading 51-50 with 5:15 remaining in the third. Davis led a three-on-two fast break and attempted to plant to move past Heat forward Mike Miller when his knee appeared to give out. He collapsed to the floor and eventually left the court on a stretcher.

Davis left the game with 2 points, 1 rebound and 2 assist on 0-for-4 shooting in 25 minutes.

The Knicks announced during the game that Davis suffered a dislocated right patella. Davis is the third Knicks guard to go down with a knee injury in recent weeks. Jeremy Lin was lost to arthroscopic surgery in March and Iman Shumpert tore his left ACL during Game 1.

New York entered Game 4 trailing Miami in their Eastern Conference first round playoff series 3-0.

Here's a replay, which shows the injury in graphic detail.
