Celtics G Rajon Rondo gets technical foul for kicking Heat F Shane Battier

Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo was hit with an offensive foul in transition, and he took his anger out on the leg of Miami Heat forward Shane Battier,

With Boston leading 61-43 with 1:08 remaining during the second quarter of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals at TD Garden on Sunday night, Rondo was hit with a technical foul as he extended his leg and made contact with the leg of Battier. NBA referee Joey Crawford came rushing in to deliver the bad news.

The Celtics went to halftime with a 61-47 lead. Rondo entered halftime with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Heat held a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4.
