The Rockets continue their stockpiling, hoping to one day make that big move. Or at the very least, remain competitive in the Western Conference.
They announced Monday that they have signed forward Carlos Delfino, giving them 21 players under contract. Obviously, some cuts are going to need to be made.
Delfino though will likely remain as he's a quality veteran forward that defends, shoots the 3 well and adds a measure of versatility to their bench.
The 29-year-old Argentine has played seven NBA seasons averaging 7.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in 440 career appearances. He spent the last three seasons with the Bucks averaging 10.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
It's another piece on the Houston roster, one more asset to use as a potential trade chip in the future. Or just a solid veteran bench player that can back up some young players.
