New York Knicks pick up Iman Shumpert's third-year option

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

Iman Shumpert is still rehabbing his knee after ACL and lateral meniscus tears during the playoffs, but that didn't stop the New York Knicks from picking up the third-year option on his rookie contract. Shumpert established himself as a fan favorite, a fearless offensive player, and a defensive weapon for the Knicks in his rookie campaign. He was one of the better defensive guards in the NBA, especially when isolated against his opponent.

Back in January, the Knicks guard told the NY Post he was targeting a return in January.
