Brandon Roy leaves game vs. Pacers with knee soreness

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

It is the thing you thought would probably happen but you prayed wouldn't. Brandon Roy left the game Friday night vs. the Pacers with "soreness" in his knee according to the team and did not return.

Roy, who returned from retirement this season, has played roughly 27 minutes per game this season, averaging just 6 points (8 points per 36 minutes), and shooting just 27 percent. The Wolves have not had to limit him in minutes yet, but his impact has been minimal, though he has passed well.

Our own Zach Harper wrote on Roy's progress earlier this month.

It's not known if the soreness will keep him out long-term.
