Video: Mavericks take turns welcoming back Kevin McHale

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Kevin McHale returned to the Rockets bench Saturday night for the first time since his daughter Sasha passed away Nov. 24. McHale had been on a leave of absence since Nov. 10.

In an extremely cool moment prior to tipoff, the Mavericks all took turns greeting the Rockets coach and offering their condolences -- one of those nice reminders that real life is bigger than the game itself.

The Mavs beat the Rockets 116-109 behind 40 points from O.J. Mayo.
