Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving to return Tuesday against Lakers

By Royce Young | NBA writer

The Lakers just can't seem to catch a break.

Their worst position on the court is point guard and, wouldn't you know it, the Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving is set to make his return Tuesday against the Lakers.

Irving has been recovering from a left index finger fracture and returned to practice on Monday.

Irving, 20, injured the finger Nov. 18 against the 76ers and has missed 11 games. The Cavs are 2-9 without him (2-8 with him, though).

The Lakers are terrible at point guard right now without Steve Nash or Steve Blake. And with their current struggles, they had to feel good about getting back on track against the hapless Cavs. But with Irving returning and that position being so bad for L.A., things could just get worse.

Irving is averaging 22.9 points and 5.6 assists per game in 10 appearances this season.
