"Yes, hello, police? I'd like to report an attempted robbery. It happened at Madison Square Garden. The suspect is roughly six-feet tall, and he was wearing a mask."
The Cleveland Cavaliers lost their showdown with the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, but Kyrie Irving continued to make a name for himself by dropping 41 points on 15-of-25 shooting in the 103-102 loss. Irving had his regular display of deadly 3-point shooting, Jedi-like control of the basketball while dribbling and acrobatic layups around the basket.
Dropping at least 40, five and five in points, rebounds and assists against the Knicks hasn't happened a lot in modern NBA history. Since the 1985-86 season, it had happened 11 times by nine players before Saturday night. Make that 12 times by 10 players. That's right; Kyrie Irving is finally joining is the all-time ranks with LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Antoine Walker.
Irving should wear this mask all the time.
