Each night, Eye on Basketball brings you what you need to know about the games of the NBA. From great performances to terrible clock management the report card evaluates and eviscerates the good, the bad, and the ugly from the night that was.
|Kevin Durant||There's a new Nike ad campaign for Durant that says, "KD is not nice." To the Hawks on Wednesday, he was basically King Joffrey. Just vicious. He scored 41 -- 28 in the second half -- and did this to Kyle Korver. KD wasn't just mean, he was unfair.|
|James Harden||You know what's good? Scoring 33 points. You know what's better? Only taking 12 shots to do it. TWELVE SHOTS.|
|Paul Pierce||Paul Pierce sees your efficiency James Harden and raises you 40 points on 16 shots. And he only had to go to the line eight times. Pierce went 13-16 from the floor, including 6-7 from 3. Seems like a pretty good game.|
|Carmelo Anthony||Sometimes when you watch Melo, you wonder, "Why doesn't he just score 45 every night?" He makes it look so ridiculously easy. He finished with 31 against the Nets and basically just pummeled them in the second half.|
|Greg Monroe||He went for 35 points and 10 rebounds, but his team lost the Raptors.|
|Brooklyn's offense||The Nets are an offensive mess right now. The Knicks exposed them as a disjointed, disconnected group Wednesday. Deron Williams can't find space, nor has the confidence to score. Joe Johnson seems to be boxed in by the offense. And there isn't any continuity or chemistry to it. They're clearly searching right now.|
|Charlotte Bobcats||That's now 13 straight losses for the Bobcats. Ouch.|
