Wizards' John Wall practices for first time this season

By Royce Young | NBA writer

There's been very little to be excited about for the Wizards this season. They're 4-26 and, well, they're 4-26. The Bobcats, who lost 18 games in a row, are still 3 1/2 games ahead of the Wizards.

But good news! John Wall is on his way back. Via the Washington Examiner, Wall practiced for the first time this season on Thursday.

Pump the brakes, though: According to the Washington Post, Wall's return wasn't of the full-contact variety, but more just him going through drills. But you have to practice to play, and any kind of return to the court means Wall is getting very close to actually stepping on the floor this season for the Wizards.

Too bad for him, his team's already in a 4-26 hole.

Wall has missed all 30 of the Wizards' games because of a stress injury to his left knee. In late September he was ruled out for 8-12 weeks. It's now been about 14 weeks.
