Add Kevin Garnett to the list of recent flagrant foul offenders.
Early in the fourth quarter of Boston's 94-75 win over Indiana on Friday night, Garnett took a hard swipe at the ball but instead connected with Tyler Hansbrough's head. After a video review, it was ruled a Flagrant 2 foul. That earned Garnett an automatic ejection.
It appeared Garnett's swipe was unintentional, at least judging by his reaction. But following the game, Hansbrough was asked if Garnett apologized for the smack to which he replied via the AP, "KG apologize? Are you from here?"
Garnett joins Dwight Howard and Charlie Villanueva, who both were hit with Flagrant 2 fouls within the past week.
Howard, who hit Denver's Kenneth Faried midair in the head, was fined $35,000 by the league. Villanueva, who fouled Sacramento's Isaiah Thomas in a similar fashion, was fined $25,000.
So Garnett should probably anticipate a call from Stu Jackson soon.
