Video: Terrence Ross' 'sledge hammer' dunk for the Raptors

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

Terrence Ross says he doesn't want to do the dunk contest because he doesn't have props. The Toronto Raptors rookie needs to realize he doesn't NEED props.

He just needs his incredible ups and his violent movements in the air. He had another dunk in a game that should be very basic but he adds a lot of flair and power to. After Charlotte Bobcatscenter Brendan Haywood had the ball stolen from him, Kyle Lowry made sure to hit Ross trailing the break so we could get another highlight.

There's an old saying in my family: "If Brendan Haywood has the ball in the post, it will end up as a highlight for the other team."

OK, that might not be a saying in my family now, but some day it could be.
